What products do you offer?

Answer: Crown Paints manufactures a full range of paints and coatings, including Decorative paints, Automotive paints, Industrial coatings, Intermediate coatings, Adhesives, Road Marking paints, Thinners, and Wood Finishes. We also carry Paint Accessories and a Zero VOC range. Let us know the surface you're working on — interior wall, exterior, roof, wood, metal or vehicle — and we'll point you to the right product.

Decorative Paints

Answer: Our decorative range is used across homes, offices, factories and public buildings for both protection and beautiful finishes. Popular products include Crown Vinyl Matt Luxury Emulsion, Crown Medicryl Anti-Bacterial Silk Sheen Emulsion, Crown Rockmaster, Crown Ultraguard Protect Silicone Extreme, Crown Emulsion Undercoat, and Economy Vesta Plastic. Through our computerised colour system, over 11,000 shades are available in popular interior and exterior finishes.

Textured & Designer Finishes

Answer: For character and depth, we offer a wide range of textured and fashion finishes. These include the Candis Range and Italia Series (Italian-inspired luxury interior finishes), and Crown Ruff N' Tuff exterior textured finish — an industry favourite for decades. Our Crown Silicone range (produced under licence from Wacker Chemie AG) offers superior exterior wall protection against water, dust and extreme weather.

Automotive Paints

Answer: Crown's automotive range covers everything from the Jua Kali market to premium refinishing. It includes our own Motocryl and Duco brands, plus world-leading products from Nexa Autocolour (PPG), Duxone (Axalta Coating Systems) and Spies Hecker. Our 2K mixing schemes allow colour matching to almost any vehicle finish. For automotive enquiries, our Automotive Division is on Dar-es-Salaam Road, Nairobi.

Wood Finishes

Answer: Yes — we carry an extensive range of wood paints and varnishes to achieve modern, classic and timeless finishes on furniture, doors and home décor projects. Let us know your timber and the look you're after (natural, stained or coloured) and we'll recommend the right product.

Adhesives & Sealants

Answer: Through our partnership with Pidilite we offer Dr. Fixit waterproofing solutions and Fevicol adhesives. In partnership with Wacker, we also supply general-purpose, sanitary and construction sealants. Ask our team for the right solution for your application.

Zero VOC Range

Answer: For health- and environment-conscious projects, we offer a Zero VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) range — lower odour and safer for enclosed and sensitive spaces such as nurseries, hospitals and offices.

Answer: Yes! Established in 1958, Crown Paints is Kenya's #1 paint manufacturer, producing over 3 million litres of paint per month from our facilities in Nairobi. How do I place an order?

Answer: You can order through any of our Décor World Showrooms, authorised dealers (Colour Zones and Colour Centres), or by calling our Call Centre on 0709 887 000. For doorstep delivery within Nairobi and its environs, use our Dial a Paint service — see the Painting Services section below.

Price List

Answer: We publish price lists for Decorative, Automotive, Dr. Fixit, the Italia Series, Bases & Colourants, Fevicol, Stencils and Textures. Prices vary by product, sheen and pack size (e.g. 1L, 4L, 20L). Delivery — Dial a Paint

Answer: 'Dial a Paint' is our quick-fix delivery service that brings paint to your doorstep. It comes with spot-on quotes, prompt project starts, colour matching and consultancy. Track My Order / Order Follow-Up

Answer: For updates on your order, please share your order or reference number and contact our Call Centre on 0709 887 000, or email sales@crownpaints.co.ke. Our team will give you the latest status.

Do you deliver outside Nairobi?

Answer: We have the most extensive dealer network in Kenya, covering both urban and rural areas, plus depots in Meru, Mombasa, Kisumu, Rwanda and two in Tanzania. For deliveries beyond Nairobi, we'll connect you with your nearest depot, showroom or authorised dealer.

Can you match a specific colour?

Answer: Yes. We operate the largest number of computerised tinting machines in the market, giving you access to over 11,000 colour shades. Bring in or describe your reference colour and our dealers can match it accurately at any authorised tinting location.

Colour Chart

Colour Consultation

Answer: Our professional colour consultants can help you choose the perfect palette for your project — from a single feature wall to a full home or commercial scheme. We provide guidance from project planning and interior design through to colour scheming, product selection and after-sales support. Ask our team to arrange a consultation.

How much paint do I need?

Answer: Coverage depends on the product, surface and number of coats. Share your wall dimensions (or room size) and the product you'd like to use, and our team will estimate the quantity and packs required for your project.

Do you offer painting services?

Answer: Yes — through Dial a Paint, our professional painters (drawn from our 'Team Kubwa' painters club) handle interior and exterior residential painting, furniture painting and restoration, roof restoration, textured and special finishes, and custom projects. Painter & Decorator Training

Answer: We run 'Painting 101' decorative paint training and dedicated Painter Training programmes to raise application standards. If you're a painter or contractor looking to upskill, ask our team about upcoming sessions.

How should I apply the paint?

Answer: Surface preparation is key — clean, dry and sound surfaces give the best results. Most decorative emulsions need an appropriate undercoat or primer first, followed by two topcoats. Allow proper drying time between coats. For product-specific application steps, share the product name and we'll provide the technical guidance, or refer to the product data sheet.

Warranty

Answer: Crown Paints products come with warranty coverage that varies by product range. Share the specific product you've purchased and our support team will confirm the applicable warranty terms and technical documentation.

5. Care & Maintenance

How do I care for freshly painted walls?

Answer: Allow the paint to fully cure before cleaning — typically a few weeks. For routine cleaning, wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive scrubbing on matt finishes; silk and sheen finishes are more wipeable and better suited to high-traffic areas and kitchens.

How do I maintain exterior finishes?

Answer: Our exterior and silicone ranges are built to resist water, dust and extreme weather. To extend their life, keep gutters clear, address damp or cracks early, and repaint high-exposure surfaces as recommended for the product. Our team can advise on a maintenance schedule for your building.

How do I store leftover paint?

Answer: Seal the lid tightly, wipe the rim clean, and store the tin upside down in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and frost. Properly stored, most emulsions keep for a good while — give the tin a thorough stir before reuse and strain if needed.

Anti-bacterial / hygienic finishes

Answer: For spaces needing extra hygiene — hospitals, kitchens, schools — Crown Medicryl Anti-Bacterial Silk Sheen Emulsion is designed to inhibit bacterial growth while giving a wipeable, attractive finish. Ask our team if it suits your project.
